SONG OF THE PINE
Created in collaboration with historian Dr Eleanor Barraclough, the work entwines forest ecology with Viking and Anglo-Saxon fireside storytelling through the life of a pine tree. Using original poetry I contributed, along with foliage projections, and 5.1 surround sound, it evokes the primal forces of ice and fire, inviting audiences into an immersive, atmospheric experience to reconnect them with the rhythms, nature and ancient life of the forest.

Commissioned by the AHRC research project, INTO THE FOREST, led by Dr Eleanor Barraclough and Light Up Trails. It was exhibited at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.
