NORTHERN LIGHTS
Northern Lights was a large-scale projection and multichannel sound installation spanning the nave vault and main wall of York Minster. Inspired by its remarkable medieval stained glass and rooted in York’s heritage, the piece intertwined the Viking tale of Ragnarök with the Apocalypse depicted in the Great East Window. The soundscape blended Icelandic, English, and Italian medieval poetry and prose with selections from the Minster choir’s repertoire, creating a richly woven experience.
