ANIMAL

Animal was an experimental work, exploring psychoacoustics to awaken human instinct developed over millenia. Drawing on BBC presenter Dr Eleanor Barraclough’s research on the human relationship with early European forests, it transports audiences to the Mesolithic landscape at the end of the last ice age. Using spatial soundscapes with projected imagery, the piece recreates ancient forest sounds, surrounding the audience as the human presence within a lost world.
